I came across this on the soc.genealogy.britain group .... Parliamentary answer, Vera Baird (Parliamentary Under-Secretary, Department for Constitutional Affairs): The National Archives received 264 requests for information from the 1911 census under the Freedom of Information Act between 1st January 2005 and 31st December 2006, none of which were successful and 456 requests for information from the 1911 census under the Freedom of Information Act between 1st January 2007 and 31st March 2007 of which 424 have been successful.
